New BSA Health Forms

Posted on Mar 25 2014 - 10:09pm

We are asking that each Scout provide a copy of their latest physical for our health records.  If you have an existing form you may turn it in, however forms are only good for 12 months and we must have a current form on file.  We encourage you to use the new forms when you get a physical and ensure that your health form is up to date for any spring and summer campouts.  We ask that you turn in a form by May 13 for our records.  You may use last year's form or the new BSA forms.  If you recently had a physical, you can typically ask the physician to use the information on file to complete the BSA form.  Only BSA forms are acceptable...this is Council's policy.  We also suggest you make a copy/scan for your own records.

EMU Lock-in ***CANCELLED****

Posted on Mar 25 2014 - 9:49pm

We are very sorry but did not have adequate adult participation for the lock-in event.  Please note that BSA always requires a minimum of "Two-Deep" leadership by adults who have taken the on-line Youth Protection course (which only takes 15 minutes to complete!)   Additional adults are required as necessary to ensure adequate supervision.  For an event like this, we typically would look for a minimum of three adults to ensure two adults are able to supervise the Scouts at all times.
