Are you up to the staff challenge?

There are two NYLT courses in 2014 (two weekend course-May 16-18, 2014 and May 23-26, 2014 and weeklong course-June 22-28, 2014) and we need youth staff to teach the course and adult staff to supervise the course.  We are taking staff applications right now for both courses.

Popcorn Sales Forms Due Oct 29th

Posted on Oct 24 2013 - 7:08pm

Please be sure to bring your popcorn order to the troop meeting this Tuesday, October 29th. You may also  scan your order and email it to me at woloszykm@wowway.com. Remember, if you elected not to sell popcorn, you are due to pay a $60.00 buyout to cover Troop membership fees. Your minimum sales order needs to be $160.00, which is not too hard to do. This fundraising  helps to pay for troop equipment, scout badges and awards, campouts, etc.

Packing for this weekend....Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Feast this weekend.  While we have the advantage of a great indoor facility for dinner, the Scouts will be tent camping at night.  Since the boys may still be in summer camping gear mode, I wanted to remind everyone it is time to shift over to the winter camping gear check list posted at http://troop777northville.org/taxonomy/term/1080.  Temps will be in the low 30's at night.  A inexpensive liner inserted in a 40 degree sleeping bag and a sleeping pad between bag and earth will go a long way toward keeping warm.  As usual, minimize or eliminate the cotton clothing.

Troop,

Wearing the Scout uniform correctly is an important part of being a Boy Scout.  A full Class A uniform should be worn by all Scouts at many functions including Troop meetings, traveling, service projects...  This is also a requirement for each youth leadership position.  Lately, a growing number of Scouts have been observed wearing non-Scouting hats, sandals, and partial or no uniforms during meetings.  That the Troop maintains a closet where outgrown uniforms can be exchanged or donated.
