Welcome to Scouts BSA Troop 777 - Programs for both Girls and Boys (Northville, MI)

   

Located in Northville, MI since 1999, we average between 50-80 co-ed Scouts.  

Meeting every Tuesday night during the school year at 7:30 pm (PLC starts at 7:00 pm) in the First United Methodist Church gym on 8 Mile Rd.

We offer traditional Scouts BSA program units for girls and boys ages 10-17 and a co-ed Venturing program for youth 14-20.

Our youth also run advancement assistance programs for area Webelos I and II Den Leaders.

Troop 777 Scouts Present Arguments in Michigan Supreme (Moot) Court - Dec. 23

Troop 777 awesome events continue with a Moot Court session in the Michigan Supreme Court.  The Scouts attending the Lansing Capitol visit will arguing the legal question:  Should girls be permitted to join Boys Scouts of America?  Please read Mr. Zahra's moot court argument paper attached to the event  http://troop777northville.org/node/1296

Klondike Derby Permission Slips Due

Our next event is the Klondike Derby.  It is the ultimate in winter scout camping.  The scouts build a Klondike sled loaded with equipment to compete at various skills stations.  At the end of the day, they race the sleds against other Council troops.

Troop is Looking for Sleeping Bag and Pad donations

What:  A few used non-cotton sleeping bags and pads (any temperature rating is OK)

Purpose:  To be prepared....we would like to build a small supply of equipment to keep in the trailer that can be used to augment the gear of a Scout or Scouter that gets too cold.

Scouting Olympics Campout is November 15th

  • Bring permission slips on Tuesday.  See calendar for details.
  • Last tent only campout of the year to earn Order of the Arrow nights; there will be a Polar Bear option at January's outing.
  • This is a patrol based event; it is important for your patrol to be in attendance to earn points toward the Honor Patrol award.
  • The "Olympic" events have been designed by the Leadership Corps and will be handicapped to level the playing field.
  • Held at Hudson Mills Metro Park in Dexter, Michigan
