Scout Sunday is February 11 and we celebrate it by spending time with our sponsor, the First United Methodist Church.   We would like all scouts to attend the service at meet us at 8:45 a.m.outside the Sanctuary.

Philmont crew members should attend this hike as a practice hike.

Turn in permission slip and Chief Pontiac Essay (first timers only)

The Chief Pontiac Trail Credential Hike (CPT) is a 1 night Winter backpacking trek.  You get to experience completing most of this hike at night under the moonlit sky.  You are home by noon on Saturday. 

This year is the 60th anniversary of the program and we will be participating along with other troops in a special anniversary event.

While all ranks may participate and earn a patch, must be 1st Class and complete all CPT report requirements to earn the credential medal.  Adults may also earn the medal.

Patch and medals will be awarded at a special Court of Honor.

If you are not going to Philmont in 2019 and you were born between July 22, 2001, and July 21, 2005 then get in on this rare opportunity to experience 160 different cultures and make life-long friends.   You'll march into the opening ceremonies with your entire country, but unlike the Olympics with 14,000 participants, you'll experience it with 50,000.

40% of these will be girls, so girls can attend too.   Troop 777 is sending 3 Scoutmasters - Mr. Tischler, Mr. Walker, and Joey Walker.

At 10:30 on Saturday, after our cleanup, we will meet at FUMC at then hike at Maybury with Webeleos from area packs.   Mr. Felosak needs scouts and adults to attend.   Please contact him if you can attend.
