Welcome to Scouts BSA Troop 777 - Programs for both Girls and Boys (Northville, MI)

   

Located in Northville, MI since 1999, we average between 50-80 co-ed Scouts.  

Meeting every Tuesday night during the school year at 7:30 pm (PLC starts at 7:00 pm) in the First United Methodist Church gym on 8 Mile Rd.

We offer traditional Scouts BSA program units for girls and boys ages 10-17 and a co-ed Venturing program for youth 14-20.

Our youth also run advancement assistance programs for area Webelos I and II Den Leaders.

Board of Review Cut-off - September 9th

Scouts that completed rank requirements over the summer and need a Scoutmaster Conference (SMC), Board of Review (BoR) or to turn in Blue Cards have two meetings to complete these tasks prior to the Fall Court of Honor cut-off on September 9th.  Please sign-up on-line for SMC or BoR as soon as possible.

Whirlyball Outing - August 26th 7-9pm REGISTRATION OPEN

Welcome Back!!!  It is time to kick off the new year with some energy.  Patrols will square off against each other in 2 hours of Whirlyball.  Jordan asks that you confirm your participation by registering online by Thursday so they know if there is enough to confirm the reservation.  Register a prospective Scout recruit too.  $20/person, pay at door, includes pizza and pop.  Jordan will unveil the annual program plan with a few decisions being voted on during Whirlyball.  http://troop777northville.org/node/1503

SPL challenge cancelled for August 30

Due to an injury, the SPL is not available for the 5k this month.  The challenge is being rescheduled as the Father's Day triathlon on June 20-21st.  It will be a canoe, bike, and hike course.  It's not about how fast your team is; we want to see how close your team can predict its time.  Follow details at: http://troop777northville.org/node/1520  

Youth Planning Meeting - 7pm Sunday, August 17th at Cass Benton Pavilion

The Scouts use this meeting to plan each month's events.  Each Patrol needs a representative at this meeting.  It is important for all Scouts to get outdoors, so all Scouts are encouraged to attend with their ideas on what their Patrol would like to do this coming year.

Jordan will be holding this meeting at the Cass Benton pavilion in Hines Park at 7pm on Sunday, August 17th.  He will post more details soon.

Attention Order of the Arrow Ordeal Members - Earn Brotherhood this weekend (cost reduced)

If you attend this weekend's Noquet Lodge 16.5 mile backpacking trek on the Chief Pontiac Trail, Douglas has arranged for the Lodge to do a special Brotherhood ceremony on Saturday night.  You must attend the trek and be Brotherhood eligible (see you OA handbook for requirements).  In addition, you can earn the special OA Chief Pontiac Trail medal for completing the hike requirements.

NOTE: the Canoe component has been dropped and the associated fees reduced to $25.00

This is a two-day OA member only backpacking hike starting on Saturday August 16th in Kensington, camping overnight in Proud and returning to Kensington on Sunday.
