Welcome our new Troop Leadership

Posted on Nov 12 2014 - 2:39am

Please join me in congratulating the following Scouts that have started their new leadership responsibilities.  Fulfilling these roles is very important for a boy-led Scouting program to succeed and gives the Scout valuable experience.  A leader must actively contribute to earn credit toward rank advancement.  Responsibilities can be found HERE

Each Scout has been inducted and issued a leadership patch, which should be sewn on the left uniform sleeve.

Scouts with old leadership patches should now remove them from their uniforms.

Several of the leaders must attend the weekly Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) or arrange for a delegate.  The PLC is used to plan the meetings and weekend events.

RSVP for Annual Feast

Posted on Oct 29 2014 - 3:58pm

Parents,

The Annual Feast is on November 22nd.  It is a troop-wide activity that allows our Scouting family an opportunity to get to know one another while our Scouts demonstrate their outdoor cooking skills.  We also use this event as a recruiting tool for area Webelos to experience Troop 777 as they near their crossover decisions in February.

The Scouts will be camping out in tents Friday - Sunday.  Saturday dinner will be served in the lodge at 4pm.

All Scouts will be assisting in the planning and preparation leading up to the event even if they are not attending.  Since it takes the Scouts all day to prepare for this meal, all Scouts are encouraged to attend the entire weekend.

Each patrol has been assigned food to prepare ahead of time and bring to the Feast weekend.  Patrols will determine how to allocate the work, but it is expected that this is a Scout prepared meal.  However, Patrols may work together.

Please RSVP by registering on the Event Page as soon as possible so the boys know how much food to plan for.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
