Welcome to Scouts BSA Troop 777 - Programs for both Girls and Boys (Northville, MI)

   

Located in Northville, MI since 1999, we average between 50-80 co-ed Scouts.  

Meeting every Tuesday night during the school year at 7:30 pm (PLC starts at 7:00 pm) in the First United Methodist Church gym on 8 Mile Rd.

We offer traditional Scouts BSA program units for girls and boys ages 10-17 and a co-ed Venturing program for youth 14-20.

Our youth also run advancement assistance programs for area Webelos I and II Den Leaders.

Alaska Crew Meeting / Final Payments Due - Thursday 5/5

There will be an important crew meeting at Mr. Tischler's house on Thursday 5/5 at 7 pm. 

Trip cost has been finalized at $1,995.  Please bring your balance due on Tuesday or Thursday so we can purchase your plane ticket.

Council and National Camping Scholarships

There are several camping scholarship available through the Council or National scouting offices  to help every scout attend outdoor adventures.  Please see each scholarship's webpage for registration requirements:

  • Weaver (Popcorn) Scholarship - Due 5/1/16
    • Open to any Scout who is attending a Michigan Crossroads Council camp, regardless of age.
  • 2017 Jamboree - National Campership - Due 9/1/2016
    • Open to scouts registered for the 2017 Jamboree
  • Great Lakes Council  HIGH ADVENTURE & TRAINING Scholarship - Due by 1st of each month
    • See form attached
    • Awarded monthly
    • Open to scouts attending a National high adventure base, 2017 Jamboree, or advanced training (such as NYLT)

Register for One Hell of a Ride and Cycling Merit Badge Outing - May 20-22

Come join in on this unique campout experience designed by Matthew Martin and also serves a continuation of the Cycling Merit Badge (Eagle required option).  This 63 mile hike will be done on wheels (with a shorter option for younger scouts).  We start off in the Ann Arbor area and ride through 3 state parks (Brighton, Pinckney, Waterloo) with a stop in Hell (MI)!  We will camp at different places each night.

West Point Permission Slip and Final Payments Due Tuesday

Final payments are due.  Please bring any outstanding balances or missing paperwork on Tuesday. 

Scouts attending West Point should also register and attend the 1st Year Scout Skills campout this weekend at Maybury - also due Tuesday.

1st Year Scout Skills Outing this Weekend

Don't let the name of this event fool you - this outing is for everyone!

2nd year and older patrols will be teaching skill stations to the new scouts

1st year scouts will learn the basic outdoor skills needed for rank advancement

1st year parents will form an adult patrol to learn what their scouts are doing

Permission slip and online registration open on event calendar - please bring all permissions slips on Tuesday.

Gear shakedown for new scouts and attending parent - bring your bags to the meeting ready to camp for inspection.
