Welcome to Scouts BSA Troop 777 - Programs for both Girls and Boys (Northville, MI)

   

Located in Northville, MI since 1999, we average between 50-80 co-ed Scouts.  

Meeting every Tuesday night during the school year at 7:30 pm (PLC starts at 7:00 pm) in the First United Methodist Church gym on 8 Mile Rd.

We offer traditional Scouts BSA program units for girls and boys ages 10-17 and a co-ed Venturing program for youth 14-20.

Our youth also run advancement assistance programs for area Webelos I and II Den Leaders.

Attend the Largest Digital World Scouting Event - Jamboree On The Air, Oct 16-18

Get some international experience and have a lot of fun.  Over 1 million Scouts from around the world get together for an entire weekend each October called Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI).  See the interactive map for talent shows, challenges, games, live chat, and more where you can meet with people from other countries and talk about things you have in common or learn about what is going on in their part of the world.

2021 Recharter

Dear Troop 777 Scouts and Families! 

 The recharter process for Troop 777 is actively going on and I request all families to kindly consider not waiting until the last minute to submit paperwork and payment.  Since our Tuesday meetings are outside the church, we are facing limitations from meeting cancellations due to weather, limited volunteers, and not having access to church office facilities, such as printer, copy machine etc.  Therefore, please consider: 

Order of the Arrow Ceremonies Team Help Wanted

During the May 2021 Camp Northville weekend, we will need OA members trained to run the Call Out Ceremony in Ford Field.  See the link below to sign-up to be trained to perform various OA ceremonies.

Manistee River Trail Backpacking Event

What - 20 miles of backpacking planned along Manistee River in the UP during the fall season. 

Where - Manistee River Trail near Mesick MI 

Cost - $38 includes travel, patch/sticker, some backpacking equipment and 2 cracker barrels.  Bring your own food for this event. 

Who - should have some experience hiking and backpacking due to the nature of the terrain and length of the planned hike. 

When - Leave Friday at 5pm from Kroger's lot at Grand River and Beck.  3.5 hour drive.  Should be home by 5pm on Sunday.  (10/9 to 10/11).  

Possibilities to hike, fish and mountain biking if enough interest.   Good opportunity to work on Hiking, Camping and Cooking Merit Badges.

Greetings!  We hope you have all had a great summer and made the most of any/all Scouting opportunities available!

As we all prepare to get back into things like school and fall programs, the Team at Central Florida has been hard at work preparing for a new season of Online Merit Badges!!
