Troop Meetings

Posted on Oct 26 2021 - 7:47am

Effective November 2nd we will be meeting at St Paul's church in Northville inside the gym.  Masks are required inside the building.  We believe offering an in person program over the winter is beneficial in serving our Scouts vs a virtual program like last winter.

Paid Community Service - High School Election Inspectors

Posted on Oct 13 2021 - 10:52am

High School Scouts,

November 2nd is the General Election date across our communities.  A great way for high school Scouts (16+) to get a better understanding of our election process and get more exposed to the community aroud us, is to serve as a student election inspector.  You will get the opportunity to rotate through all the election site functions and these positions are usually paid.  The students that have worked on my teams have said they are glad they did it and feel it will also benefit them on college and job applications.  You need to apply with a local City Clerk and receive some basic training.

Here is the link to apply for Novi polling locations - Election Inspectors | City of Novi

The experience can also be used for several merit badge requirements: Citizenship in the Community, Personal Management, Disabilities Awareness.
