2023 Jamboree Patch Incentive Extended - Recruit a Youth, Earn a Patch Set!

Posted on Aug 23 2022 - 9:24am

IT IS EXTENDED - THE RECRUITING PATCH SET INCENTIVE.

Now until September 30, 2022 - Recruit a Friend and Receive a Patch Set

Due to the higher than expected registrations, the Michigan contingent is trying to fill 2 additional units before October.

777 Scouts already registered for Jamboree, here is a great way to earn valuable patches to trade.  For every Scout or Venturer that you recruit, the MCC Jambo Committee will issue you a full set of MCC Jamboree contingent patches (2017 example seen here).  The top recruiter will receive five sets of patches.  The rules are simple.  You need to fully registered for Jamboree, then send a note to: jamboreechair@michiganscouting.org , with the name(s) of the Scout(s) or Venturer(s) that you recruited to the Michigan Crossroads Council contingent no later than September, 2022.  Once verified that the Scout(s) or Venturer(s) has/have registered on the MCC website and made Jamboree payments through September 30, 2022.  Each recruited Scout or Venturer can have only one recruiter.  Duplicate entries will be reviewed to confirm the earliest submission date.  In addition, you cannot claim to recruit Scouts or Venturers that are already registered with MCC.

Hint 777 Scouts - see our calendar event to see who has not signed up yet - and recruit!!

ALSO NEW - No Rank Requirement - Scouts just need to by 12 years old prior to July 19, 2023.

Eagle Project - Michael Jeromsky

Posted on Aug 8 2022 - 5:04pm

Hello Troop 777,

My name is Michael Jeromsky and I am a recent graduate of the Northville High School Class of 2022. I have been active in the troop since I was in 5th grade. Currently I am striving to complete my Eagle Scout Project, which will be to build 2 moveable boat racks For the Northville Rowing club. These racks will provide a more efficient use of space allowing extra space for more boats. The budget for this project is around $450-$500. I am asking for financial support from Troop 777.  Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated and any extra money raised will be donated to the Rowing club. I will also be taking returnable cans and bottles to help pay for the project.  I am hoping to raise most, if not all of the money, by August 14th.

Checks can be made out to Michael Jeromsky c/o 18355 Edenderry Northville, MI 48168. To donate electronically my Venmo is @Michael-Jeromsky.

If you plan on donating bottles and cans, please email me your address and I will come pick up cans sometime on Friday the 12th.

Thank You for your support,

Michael
